This version of Art Class is for adults only and is very similar to the Art Class that is open to everyone 10+ with the only differentiation being that in this class we are able to go into content that’s a bit more raw and unfiltered than is possible when there are young people in our midst. This class is the class for you if you’re wanting to explore grittier themes that might include issues of grief, death, sex, existentialism or anything that would be better explored and processed within an exclusively adult context. My objective is to hold very safe and contained space to explore whatever is authentically emerging through the creative process for each individual and this requires that every participant also be willing to contribute to the holding of a safe and loving container. Not everyone in this class will be drawn to the exploration of the heavier and denser aspects of our human experience but I want to make sure that there is a place for that to happen and this class is that place. There are not enough spaces to explore and excavate the shadowy, messy, bardo aspects of being human and that material should see the light of day to be metabolized and integrated.
